This page explains how to request deletion of your Plantly account and the data associated with it, and what happens to that data afterwards.
How to request deletion
To request that your Plantly account and its associated data be deleted, follow these steps:
- Email us at meet2005pokar@gmail.com from the same Google email address you use to sign in to Plantly.
- Use the subject line "Delete my account".
- In the message, confirm the Google email address tied to the account you want deleted.
We verify the request against the email address it was sent from, then permanently delete your account. You will receive a confirmation once the deletion is complete.
What data is deleted
When we process your request, we permanently delete the account record we store on our servers, which may include:
- your Google account identifier;
- your email address;
- your name and profile picture URL;
- sign-in timestamps and account status.
Data stored only on your device
Your plants, scan results, photos, and reminders are stored only on your device — they are never uploaded to our servers. This data is removed when you uninstall Plantly, or immediately when you use Settings → Data → Clear all data in the app.
Plant photos you submit for identification are sent to our AI provider for analysis at the time of the scan and are not retained by us afterwards.
Data we keep, and for how long
Your account record is deleted from our active database within 30 days of a verified request, and purged from encrypted backups within 90 days. We may retain a minimal record of the deletion request itself, and limited diagnostic or transaction logs, where required to comply with legal, security, or fraud-prevention obligations; these are kept no longer than necessary and then deleted.
