This Privacy Policy describes how Plantly ("we", "our", "the app") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture so we can create your account.
Plant photos. Photos you take or upload for identification are sent to our servers and to Google's Gemini AI service for analysis. We do not use your photos to train any model.
Plant and reminder data. Plants you save, scan results, and reminders are stored locally on your device. A copy of your account record (excluding photos and plant data) is stored on our servers to manage your subscription.
Subscription data. When you purchase a subscription, RevenueCat processes the transaction on our behalf. We receive the entitlement status (active / expired) but no payment card details.
Device information. We collect basic diagnostic information (app version, operating system version, crash logs) to improve the app.
2. How we use information
- Identify plants and detect possible diseases from your photos.
- Send you the care reminders you create.
- Manage your subscription and verify your access to paid features.
- Improve the app and diagnose issues.
3. How we share information
- Google Gemini (Google LLC) — receives the plant photo and prompt to generate the diagnosis. Google's privacy policy applies to that data.
- Google Sign-In (Google LLC) — handles authentication.
- RevenueCat, Inc. — processes subscription purchases and entitlements.
- MongoDB Atlas (MongoDB, Inc.) — stores your account record.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data retention
Account records are kept while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account by emailing meet2005pokar@gmail.com. Local data (plants, scans, reminders) lives only on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app or use "Clear all data" in Settings.
5. Your choices
- You can sign out at any time from Settings.
- You can clear all on-device data from Settings → Data → Clear all data.
- You can revoke camera and notification permissions in your device settings.
6. Children
Plantly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
